What does this tool do?
Remove a plain or nearly uniform background from a product photo, icon or simple image without uploading the file to a conversion server. The tool detects background-colored pixels connected to the image edges and makes them transparent.
How to use it
- Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image.
- Adjust background tolerance if the default does not remove enough or removes too much.
- Run the remover, preview the transparent result and download the PNG.
Limitations and quality
This browser-only version works best when the background is fairly uniform and clearly different from the subject. It is not semantic AI segmentation, so hair, shadows, gradients, busy scenes and backgrounds similar to the subject may need a dedicated AI editor. Increase tolerance gradually and keep the original image until you have checked the PNG.
